CNA Classes in Indiana

By 2030, one out of every five people in Indiana will be a senior citizen. A little under a million citizens in the state of Indiana are at least 65 years old. This development is a clear signal that experienced medical staff will be increasingly necessary. In order to keep up with the demands of a changing state, trained and competent CNAs will be required to assist medical establishments.

Prospective CNAs must get state-approved classes and certification in order to qualify for their careers. Certain requirements must be met in order for CNA students to progress in their courses.

Online CNA Classes in Indiana

Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs) are essential members of the healthcare team who provide personal care and assistance to patients in various settings, such as nursing homes, hospitals, and home health agencies. Becoming a CNA can be a rewarding and fulfilling career choice for those who enjoy helping others and have a passion for nursing. However, traditional CNA classes may not be accessible or convenient for everyone, especially those who have busy schedules, family obligations, or live far from campus. That’s why online CNA classes in Indiana can be a great alternative for aspiring CNAs who want to pursue their education and certification in a flexible and affordable way.

Online CNA classes in Indiana are designed to provide students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills they need to pass the state certification exam and work as competent and compassionate CNAs. Online CNA classes typically consist of two components: an online portion that covers the core concepts and principles of nursing care, and a clinical portion that allows students to apply what they learned in real-life scenarios under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Online CNA classes offer several benefits over traditional classes, such as:

  1. Convenience: Online CNA classes allow students to access the course materials anytime and anywhere, as long as they have a reliable internet connection and a compatible device. Students can study at their own pace and schedule, without having to commute or relocate to attend classes.
  2. Cost-effectiveness: Online CNA classes are usually cheaper than traditional classes, as they eliminate the expenses associated with transportation, parking, textbooks, uniforms, and other fees. Some online CNA classes may even be offered for free or at a reduced cost by certain employers or organizations.
  3. Variety: Online CNA classes are available from various accredited and reputable providers in Indiana, such as community colleges, universities, vocational schools, nursing homes, and online platforms. Students can choose the program that best suits their needs, preferences, and goals.
  4. Quality: Online CNA classes are approved by the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) and meet the same standards and requirements as traditional classes. Online CNA classes are taught by qualified and experienced instructors who use interactive and engaging methods to deliver the course content. Online CNA classes also prepare students for the state certification exam by providing them with practice tests, feedback, and tips.

Online CNA classes in Indiana are not only convenient, affordable, and diverse, but also effective and comprehensive. By taking online CNA classes in Indiana, students can achieve their dream of becoming CNAs without sacrificing their personal or professional commitments. Online CNA classes can also open up more opportunities for career advancement and further education in the field of nursing. If you are interested in taking online CNA classes in Indiana, you can start by exploring some of the options available below:

Miller’s Nursing Assistant Training – Indianapolis East Location

Miller’s offers a free online CNA program for those who want to pursue a career as a certified nursing assistant. The program consists of two phases: online classroom instruction and clinical practicum. The classroom instruction is delivered online and requires 36-40 hours of work. The students must pass all the tests with at least 80% to proceed to the clinical phase. The clinical practicum involves 75 hours of supervised practice in a long-term care facility, where the students must demonstrate all the required skills. Upon completion of both phases, the students will be eligible to take the state exam and obtain their certification. Miller’s will pay for the exam fees for the first two attempts if the students are hired and remain in good standing as employees. Otherwise, the students will have to pay for their own exam fees.

The program has some prerequisites, such as passing a criminal background check, a TB test, and a physical exam. The students must also attend all the sessions and follow the dress code requirements. Miller’s does not provide any job placement assistance, but it does offer employment opportunities for its graduates.

The in-person training is scheduled and conducted at a local facility. The program also includes grading software, data analytics, and the option to customize the content.

The program has different fee schedules depending on the number of students per class. The standard fee is $700 per student for members and $875 per student for non-members.
