Unity Nursing Institute is committed to preparing students for the state’s CNA certification exam, and ultimately becoming certified. Our goal? To give you quality health care education under supervision by an RN that will enhance your skills so when it comes time take NNAAP-the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program.

Class Schedule
Classes are offered during the day or evenings depending on which trek you choose. Classes are three days a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Check the website for the latest class schedules. In total, the class lasts six weeks.

  • UNI requires all students to have a high school diploma or a college transcript. They also require all students to pass a drug test, criminal background check, physical exam, and tuberculosis test.

Cost
Tuition is $650, half of which must be paid upfront. Though additional fees are not covered by that and include a state exam fee (paid directly to the test provider, Pearson Vue), uniform and shoes for the clinical exam, TB test, lab fees, a $25 registration fee, a drug test and a background check.

This course is designed to give you the skills needed for providing personal care in a health care setting. Topics include communications, safety and security measures as well as patients’ rights during their stay at home from rehab or hospitalization facility; vital signs (pulse rate & blood pressure), elimination habits, and more. This training will also cover nutrition basics – what foods are good sources of vitamins and minerals plus some emergency preparedness plans should something go wrong.

Class Schedule
Classes are available on days, weekends, and evenings. Day classes are 8:30 am to 5 pm, and allow students to complete the program in a month. Evenings and weekends will take around two months with fewer or shorter classes.
