As you prepare for your HESI A2 exam, it is crucial that you familiarize yourself with the types of reading passages and questions that will be on the test. The Reading Comprehension section measures your ability to read and understand academic texts. In order to do well on this section, you need to be able to identify main ideas, make inferences, and draw conclusions.
To help you prepare for the Reading Comprehension section of the HESI A2 exam, we have put together a practice test. This practice test consists of ten passages, each followed by four questions. Try to answer these questions without looking at the passages. Once you have finished the questions, check your answers against the answer key to see how you did.

HESI A2 Reading Comprehension Test Tips
- Read the passages carefully. Make sure that you understand what each passage is saying before moving on to the questions.
- If you get stuck on a question, try to eliminate some of the answer choices. This will help you narrow down your options and make it easier to choose the correct answer.
- Trust your instincts. If you are unsure of an answer, go with the choice that feels right.
